Finally Touch Controls are here!
The iPhone is all the rage as people line up to get Apple's touch control technology.
I have always imagined the perfect personal assistant to be just like the iPhone. I think people will be happy to switch from pressing those tiny buttons. Sure the others cell phone manufacturer's are probably already designing their versions using more touch controls too. It will be a new standard, for awhile.
Eventually people will just talk to computers. When voice control works, people will say "read me that first email" and talk to a computer like a person, but voice technology is far from ready.
To get an iPhone, you will shell out $500 or more for the device plus hefty service fees. Remember that you are actually getting another whole computer that you can hold in your hand. I am sure a lot of people will gladly pay for their own iPhone.
Is Steve Jobs Smarter Than Bill Gates?
Techies have debated this question for years. Of course, Bill Gates made sure Microsoft was the early winner, but at Apple, Steve Jobs was taking time to make Apple's technology innovative and reliable too.
In the early 90's I saw Steve Jobs' NEXT platform in use and it was a programmer's dream come true. But frankly, it was hard to sell when Microsoft had clearly won with Windows after being best with DOS. Microsoft was first because it concentrated on software, not the devices. Their goal is to make software separate and flexible. Bill is clever. Both men are smart. It's just that Steve is still working on technology, and there is more profit in licenses.
If you've followed the development of desktop computing for years too, you might have a strong opinion. But today no one really cares. Decades have spoken. Since Steve Jobs has been back at Apple's helm, he keeps bringing us the coolest gadgets to use the latest technologies.
Therefore, I declare that the iPhone and Apple WIN.
For bringing us Touch Control handheld computers, I pick Steve Jobs to win hands down in the ability to develop the "NEXT" innovative device. Steve Jobs is a "true" visionary. I hope he's already working on voice control.
While it isn't much, I declare that Steve Jobs and Apple and their iPhone win the KarenSMueller Award for Best User Interface. While this award won't mean much to Apple or Steve Jobs, here at CoolGamePlace.com, it is important.
This award is my highest praise for a HARD JOB WELL DONE to Steve Jobs for bringing Touch Control to the world. "Steve Jobs, Thank you for bringing us the NEXT TECHNOLOGY and please keep working at it."
