It's an exciting time in the Computer Gaming Industry, indeed.
Some game websites, or gamesites, are so riddled with ads that it is hard to enjoy yourself or concentrate on finding or playing your game. Others are old or provide old games. Some games might not work with a mouse and require pressing keys and they don't even tell you first. Some gamesites present ads or offensive material you don't wish to see. Even if you have technical problems you don't understand, "Don't worry!" Let me help you sort it out.
The Computer Gaming Industry is as young as the PC, of course. Games were the original software programs on our first little home computers. There was Pong and Chess at first. Then we had little Basic computers hooked to our TV's and we programmed our own little games. This industry has grown continuously and rapidly all this time. There is no end in sight.
Naturally, the Internet serves up the PC Gaming Market today, good and poor. They have millions of PC Game Downloads, Game Clients and On-line Games. Not all PC games are fun and safe!
Unfortunately there are DANGEROUS game-related websites out here in cyberspace. Let's just say, there are "less than desirable" websites serving up games that could either hurt you or, at best, ruin your gaming experience. I found the percentage of them so high, it was scary.
That's why playing here and using our TOP Gamesite Recommendations will ensure that you have a pleasant and safe game experience and avoid these dangers.
Here is what happens if you decide to use a search engine to find games. Your search results will present millions of links. Clicking many of them will NOT provide a friendly family-safe fun experience.
When you click on the SERP (search engine results page) links, there are so many websites with games, that you can spend hours just trying to find a good game!
Some nasty sites try to load spyware. Then they can report your stats and throw other ads at you.
Some games are old and loading them could damage your PC.
Some present too many popup ads or moving ads to distract you beyond belief.
Some even display offensive material you don't wish to see and certainly don't want your children to see.
Even some of the better game websites are so riddled with ads that it is hard to enjoy yourself. It is even hard to concentrate on finding or playing your game. Frankly you never know if it would do something that would damage your PC or invade your private files.
It is so much easier and well worth your time to Read our TOP Gamesite Reviews and avoid the time and headaches. I purposely avoided all the tricks I find annoying when I'm exploring search results so you don't have to. Perhaps you will award your loyality for this consideration CoolGamePlace many game and product links. Thank you.
"Save Your Time and Read Reviews Here First"
The game you want may be available on-line, or as a download to play on your PC, or both. Nothing is standard. Everything is open. Whatever the webmaster can find is there. The gamesites and games the Top Producers present changes continuously. It's amazing, and confusing.
I found a fuzzy line between gamesites and websites that download FREE games. Just like here at CoolGamePlace, some games are online and some are downloads. That is how they are programmed and presented, or packaged.
Few provide much else, except for ALL THOSE ADS of course. Yes, we have some ads too. Our policy is to not display any popups, or "busy" moving ads unless we have no control and that is the only way we can add the game here. Our goal is to provide a "Pleasurable Customer Game Experience".
New Players in PC Game Websites - Hmm....
There are a huge number of PC gamers today. Even the big conglomerates have added PC games to play and purchase on their websites. They want to attract repeat visitors too. "Sticky" means your website is fun or interesting and people "stick around", or come back. Games add that factor naturally.
Comcast Gets Into Gaming
Now Comcast, my cable service has another game portal from "CHILL". Comcast is fairly widespread across the Chicagoland area and mid-west USA and I am happy with their high-speed cable service to my TV and PCs.
Now Comcast wants EVEN more revenue. They are not original or unique. They are much like Yahoo in that they have many of the games as everyone else. They have a license to sell them and get a commission too. Some big guys are even including online multiplayer rooms for skill games like Chess and Backgammon. They cost the same as most other places you can play online, with ads too.
What is their advantage? I do not see one. They just want to be everything online. You'll find the same content only they will put THEIR ADS in your face. That's the only difference - they want a piece of all your business. They even sell cars!
There is currently some legislation that ties in here, relating to use of the Internet bandwidth by individual versus by the "big boys", like Comcast. Here's the thing: Congress has passed a bill letting the bandwidth be subdivided and prioritized so that it "could" have price differences and priorities set differently for specific users in the future. THIS IS HUGE!
The bottom line is this. The independent use of the Internet IS REALLY AT STAKE. Once all the services and information that you'd ever want to find is available from a few huge conglomerates, like Comcast, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, and Google, they really could squeeze out most of the rest of the websites that you enjoy now.
I recommend that you ENJOY THE INDEPENDENT WEBSITES NOW while you can. Those big guys already have more than they need, I'm sure.
